1 Yesterday, Budi Sudarsono and Bambang Pamungkas make Indonesian people forgot all their troubles in one day.
2 Indonesia vs Bahrain is the first match on Group D. Almost all Indonesia people are pessimistic that their national team will get a point in this group.
3 Why? Because the two other teams are South Korea and Saudi Arabia. Bahrain almost got through to last World Cup Finals if not for Dwight Yorke and his friends.
4 But yesterday, Garuda Team fought bravely. This is our Home! That's the slogan. Don't let anyone embarrassed you in your home.
5 After under pressure for the first ten minutes, Indonesia got the first breakthrough on the 14th minutes.
6 Firman Utina scooped the ball past the Bahrain defender...Budi Sudarsono is not offside....Budi keeps his cool and pass the goalie...Budi Sudarsono shoot! GOOOAAALLL!!!
7 And after that, incident after incident that make Indonesia like being cursed. Mahyadi Panggabean injured, the skipper Ponaryo Astaman injured. And Bahrain gets a scrappy goal to make the score equal until half time.
8 Seventeen minutes after the restart, Gelora Bung Karno erupt with Indonesian supporter celebration.
9 Elly pass to Budi..Budi gives the ball to Firman...Firman shoot...The goalie saved and the ball rebound against the post...Who the first to reach the ball? It's Bambang PAMUNGKAS! GOOOALLL!!!!
10 Indonesia hold it for ninety minutes. Bahrain keep attacking and hit the top post once, but we are defending our ground until the final whistle blows.
11 This is the first time after quite sometime, that I'm proud to be Indonesian.
