Tripping the Babel (Zentech 3:1-8)

Sometimes language can be a barrier for us to understand the information that we have already acquired. We search something in Google and somehow the information come in Russian language for Russian people, but for almost the rest of us, it's like intergalatic language.

But, internet understand us, as always. Now, eventhough we still cannot understand the language, at least we have a free interpreter to translate the information.

The pioneer that i know of is Babelfish. Based on a novel from The Hitchhiker Guide to the Galaxy, it is a useful device that allowed various alien races to communicate while speaking different languages.

Same thing with this site. We type keyword and found the translation (s). And then, we type that word in the search engine. You can double or maybe triple your sources if the phrase that you looking for has a translation in any other language.

The other way to use babelfish, is by type the information in English on any search engine and then translate the website using this site. Yes, my friend it can translate a whole site if you want to.

Sure, some guessing is also necessary, but at least we already ventured to uncharted territory.

Google have some sort of babelfish. This site is also complete with dictionary and a built in search engine.

Still, don't put your dictionary and audio tape in the drawer. You may still need it.
